PELMO's mission is to support institutions in their quest for internationalization. How? by ensuring that the students who are accepted have the English language skills necessary to be successful in their programs. PELMO guarantees to provide the most accurate English language proficiency assessment available today.
How is the PELMO guarantee to institutions achieved?
* Through the use of advanced AI technology
* By having a human proctor for every test
* By having a trained ESL test assessor reviewing the test answers and sub-scores for anomalies
* Through contacting the student to re-take a section of the test if the scores are drastically inconsistent
What PELMO score should institutions use to accept students?
A PELMO score of 80% overall is recommended, with no sub-score less than 30%. This is comparable to a 6.5 in IELTS or 86 in the TOEFLiBT. For other admission requirements (lower or higher), please contact us so we can customize our suggestion based on your institution's particular needs.
What does the PELMO report look like? How quickly do institutions receive the report?
Below is a sample PELMO report. The report will be sent to institutions within five days of the test date.
